Planes, Trains, and Unicycles

I’ve been thinking about airplanes today: Boyfriend is on his way back to California today, a trip that takes 24+ hours and three connecting flights. Airplanes are the most common way to travel long distances these days, but once in a while it’s fun to consider some other options. You’ll see a few of my favorites below, but you’ll also notice I’ve missed a few common modes of transportation: buses, skateboards, boats, the Tardis. More options may exist depending on locale. Where Boyfriend lives while not at school, there are camels; at the other extreme, Canadians and other people in cold places presumably use snowmobiles, snowshoes, and teams of Huskies to get around.
