Rainy April

I’m at my old college this weekend, and it’s pouring rain. Unfortunately, Scripps and the surrounding areas weren’t designed with optimal drainage in mind–that’s one of the main courtyards above, and I think you can see what I mean when I say rubber boots would be necessary in any crossing attempts.

It’s a good time to keep in mind the sunny days to come, and there’s nothing like a pink-and-yellow portrait of Nice, France to aid in that quest–I’ve heard winters in Southern France can be quite chilly, but you would never guess it looking at the glowing, pastel streets of the Riviera. Cheers to anticipating spring weather, happy (early) birthday and enjoy the painting Mom (I promise it’s less blurry in person!), and happy Friday to everyone else!
